eBay Fee Calculator
eBay's fee depends on your category. Copy your final value fee and per-order fee from eBay's official fee page into the calculator, and it works out the rest: total fees, net profit, margin and break-even price.
How it works
eBay's selling fees are generally made up of a percentage final value fee that varies by category and a fixed per-order fee, with an optional ad rate for Promoted Listings. We could not open eBay's official fee page on the check date, so this page states no eBay rate or rule as fact.
Open eBay's fee page, find your category, and type the numbers in. The calculator applies the percentage to the item price plus shipping plus any sales tax you enter; leave sales tax at 0 if your fee base excludes it. Everything else is calculated the same way as the other calculators on this site.
Numbers you enter yourself
We only pre-fill rates we could confirm on the platform's own page on 2026-10-29. These depend on your product or account, or could not be verified, so the calculator asks you for them:
- Final value fee rate for your category – eBay's official selling fees page could not be opened on the check date (it returned a captcha / HTTP 403 to our checker), so no rate is pre-filled. Source: www.ebay.com (checked 2026-10-29)
- Per-order fee – same reason. Source: www.ebay.com (checked 2026-10-29)
- Promoted Listings ad rate – the rate you chose for your campaign. Source: www.ebay.com (checked 2026-10-29)
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my eBay fees?
Find the final value fee rate for your category and the per-order fee on eBay's official selling fees page, enter them in the calculator with your price and shipping, and it shows total fees, net profit and margin.
Why are the eBay fee fields empty?
We only pre-fill rates we could verify on the platform's own page. eBay's page could not be opened by our checker on the check date, so you enter the current rate yourself.
Are the eBay rates on other sites correct?
They may be, but rates differ by category and change over time. Always confirm against eBay's own fee page before relying on a number.
How do Promoted Listings affect eBay profit?
If a sale came from a promoted listing, the ad rate you chose is an extra cost. Switch on the Promoted Listings fee and enter your rate.
