What the calculator assumes
- Payment processing rates depend on the country of your bank account. The default is the US rate.
- A 2.5% currency conversion fee applies if your listing currency differs from your payment account currency (not modelled by default).
- Some countries (UK, France, Italy, Spain, Canada...) add a Regulatory Operating fee. Add it by editing the fee rates.
- Whether Offsite Ads fees are credited on refunds was not verified, so the calculator assumes they are not.
Frequently asked questions
What fees does Etsy charge per sale?
For a US seller: a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the order total including shipping and gift wrap, and an Etsy Payments processing fee of 3% + $0.25 on the total including shipping and sales tax.
How much are Etsy Offsite Ads fees?
Offsite Ads fees apply only to orders that came from an Offsite Ad. The fee is 15% of the order total, or 12% if you made at least $10,000 on Etsy in the past 365 days, and never more than $100 per order. Turn it on and choose the rate that applies to you.
Are fees refunded if I refund an order?
According to Etsy Help, transaction and processing fees are refunded when you refund through Shop Manager. The listing fee is credited only if you also cancel the transaction.
I am not in the US. Are the rates different?
Yes. Payment processing rates depend on where your bank account is, and some countries add a Regulatory Operating fee or currency conversion fees. Edit the processing rate in the calculator.
Does this include Etsy Ads (onsite)?
Enter your Etsy Ads spend as ad cost per order or as an ad rate (% of sales).
