Taobao Seller Fee & Profit Calculator
Since September 2024 Taobao has charged a basic software service fee of 0.6% on the confirmed order value, which includes shipping and platform subsidies. Add your Taobaoke commission, coupons and ad spend to see your real profit in CNY. Tmall uses category-based rates and is not covered by this preset.
What the calculator assumes
- No basic software service fee is charged if the order is refunded before the buyer confirms receipt. The calculator conservatively assumes the fee is not refunded.
- Sellers with annual confirmed sales of 120,000 CNY or less can get the year's basic software service fee rebated in full, subject to that year's platform announcement.
- The 60 CNY per sub-order cap applied until 2025-11-30. To use a cap, enter it in the fee's "Cap" field.
- Tmall charges category-based software service fees that vary widely. This preset does not apply to Tmall.
- Enter Ztc, Wanxiangtai and other promotion spend as ad spend.

What is the Taobao basic software service fee?
It is 0.6% of the confirmed order value. That value includes what the buyer paid, shipping and platform subsidies. It is deducted when the buyer confirms receipt, and it is not refunded for refunds after confirmation.
Is there a cap or rebate?
Taobao has run time-limited policies: a 60 CNY cap per sub-order (for orders confirmed up to 2025-11-30) and a full rebate for sellers with annual confirmed sales of 120,000 CNY or less. Check Qianniu for the policy that applies to you now, and set a cap in the calculator if needed.
How do coupons affect the fee?
Seller-funded coupons reduce what you receive. Platform-funded discounts are still part of the fee base and of what you receive, so enter them separately.
Does it work for Tmall?
No. Tmall charges category-specific software service fees. Edit the fee rate to match your Tmall contract.
